what genre of music? Most music I've shot from trad to jazz to metal have certain restrictions, most not too bad, only the big rock bands who think their image is worth 'protecting' more than others

Looking forward to using the 5DII at smaller dark gigs around dublin the coming month, really push the iso limits on it

Excellent shots of the you know what gig. Also like your pic of the Subways on your website, have you got any more from their performance?

    Punk Rock!
I'll give you an example of how DIY it is, if any band came out with any conditions whatsoever they'd be ridiculed and boycotted.

the worst contract i ever had to sign before shooting a band was the Sex Pistols

but obviously for the more 'normal' punk scene, they are far more relaxed about the whole thing. Although image to punk bands is still crucially important

Remember when you shot the Pistols their days of being a credible Punk band were long gone and was totally simple money to them, sure they got the crowds but they were mostly people who had listened to them when they were teenagers/early 20s and were interested to see "The" Sex Pistols again.
Same happened when the Undertones reformed, I went along to that in The Village (ugh!) and the people at that were not Punk but people who just wanted to remember part of themselves from 20 years ago.
Remember Punk Rock is underground now, the biggest bands are not even liked by the majority of Punk fans but they do have an audience with the 20/30 year ago ex Punks.
There is one band that I can think of that may lay down some conditions as they're prob the biggest Punk band on the planet today, funny thing is 99% of non Punk fans would have heard of them thats how underground and non commercial Punk evolved too, band in question are a Hispanic band called The Casualties.
Here is a clip of them I shot a couple of years back at The Worlds biggest punk fest (4 days) in The Winter Gardens Blackpool.
Would be interested in how you think Punk has evolved.. ;)
