I'm doing the dip with French as one of my subjects. The French part is ok. we have 1 hour of french and one of modern languages each week. the guy who does these is really really nice but i know i would not be alone in saying he has not the best french. but this semester we will be doing classes with other teachers soon. its not that hard. we have a big project to do but its not due for a while. its grand really. you should post this in the teaching and lecturing section though, u might get more replies.

That would depend on why you want to do it and what you want out of it. And possibly what you intend to use it for.

I think I got the wrong end of the stick, are you talking about the hdip? as in the post graduate dip in education? or are u talking about a diploma in FRench? if u have no interest in teaching french then no, I wouldn't go near it as the French part is not that big in the overall scheme of things, you have to do tons of other subjects/modules etc.

If you just want to go on with french because u love it, try the MA in Advanced Language Skills in French
