    Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody knows the legality of distributing flyers on a medium/large scale..? There doesn't seem to be too much info readily available. Ive also heard of harsh fines imposed for littering because most flyers eventually find there way to the pavement. Help much appreciated..

not too sure on the legalities, but littering fines are imposed, which are sent to the venue, then passed on to the promotor

probably best to use a distribution service - an post provide a distribution service for leaflets ....... so contact them and they will throw your flyers into houses in whatever selected areas you want.

Distribution of Printed material is ‘protected’ under our constitution. So you can hammer away – however you have to be careful of obstruction and more importantly litter, the litter guys will normally kill you (I have first hand experience of that!). If you can, get a company to do it as their employees have a vested interest in doing a good job.
