Has anyone ever been to this city in Spain? Its between Madrid and Barcelona. I'm thinking of going in the new year. Is there much to do there?

went to a game there a few years ago and stayed a couple of nights. By Spanish standards it's nothing amazing, good bars and restaurants as you would expect. No great sights, the massive cathedral and the river mostly. Cold too (this was April). Would make a nice change from the usual tourist favourites (Barcelona, Seville etc) though.
