now maybe not quite as flash as that, just the one colour...
I wouldn't be dressing like a cowboy either, more indie maybe, but I've always wanted one of those shirts....
anywhere in cork or limerick, or dublin if needs be....?

hahaha.. what's the bet in 6 months time, they'll be stocked in Topman or Next and EVERYONE will be wearing one, saying "man these are cool shirts..."

but like the check shirts at the moment, and the cons allstars. folk got slagged for wearing cons a few years back, now every chav wants to look like a grunger...

Great shirt. I've seen similar in Retro, Georges St Arcade, Dublin. http://www.georgesstreetarcade.ie/Retro.retro.0.html
Or anywhere that does rockabilly style clothes.

a good few of the websites ive come across have really loud ones, but you can get some cool plain enough ones, just like Bubbles wears on trailer park boys!!

you could be right about it becoming popular but i think 90% of the stuff in Top Man and Next is mingin anyway so i'll still be slagging people off for wearing it. i think it's a slight improvement on the weird hideous cardigan fashion around. i can't stand the things. or OMG look a t-shirt with Danger Mouse and it's sort of faded looking dats da koolest eva

What was with the scarves that looked like tea towls everyone was wearing this year?

Saw two students comparing them and trying them on like a pair of wimmin. Wanted to clunk their heads together.

There's a shop in Dublin, on North Earl St just off O'Connell Street, called 'Mister Gear' that sells country & western style stuff, fringey leather trousers, eagle belt buckles, cowboy boots and stuff. I've only ever looked in the windows, never been in, so couldn't guarantee they sell shirts but they might be worth a call. :)

Mr. Gear closed down last year.

yup, and I probably would have gotten the same response a few years ago, if I asked where I could get a pink shirt or sweater, or white shoes or a white sweater, ....which all the chavs seem to love wearing these days:rolleyes:

they sure do. go up to the next chav in pink and tell him how much of a ponce he looks like and see how he takes it...

They normally wear them type of shirts in line dancing. Try some shops that would supply line dancing clothing.:D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,863 ✭✭✭seachto7

ireland being ireland, there are probably NO line dancing shops.

I've always wanted a red one, like this:

Wild Cowboy is the shop but not sure if they deliver outside of USA.

    There's more here:
    http://www.lostworldsinc.com/VintageCowboyShirt.htm

    and here: http://www.hangmhighwesternwear.com/servlet/Detail?no=121

Actually I did a Google Image search for "cowboy shirts" and loads came up. Good luck and let me know what they're like!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,863 ✭✭✭seachto7

Yup, that's the one eviltimeban. I'd love a black or brown one. I've seen some US sites but I don't know if it's worth taking the chance with sizes...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,123 ✭✭✭eviltimeban

Most websites now have a returns policy if the size is wrong. Some also have size charts that you can check, or you can look up American sizes and get the measurements. I personally would order a size lower than normal, i.e. if you take XL then order a L because I would say US XL is REALLY big compared to ours. And with a shirt like that you want it kind of fitted.
