Im 2 years away but! ....

Hiding your stash - you're a grown person, if you can buy some smoke, you can leave it on the table.

Kegstands - Being held upside down over a keg while someone else makes you drink beer from the tap.

Novelty postcards - topless women, with wish you were here on it sent to your mates.

Pointage - Say "Two Points" when throwing something in the bin.

Transport organiser - You're over 30, you can make your own way there, so can your mates.

    Drinking on a school night.

Still thinking your friends' mammy is a MILF.

Going into town on leaving cert result night.

    What you got?

Dancing. You don't re-earn that right until you are over 60 as younger people think it's cute.

I would have thought people stopped doing these at 19. If they had the rank idiocy to do them in the first place, that is.

Absolutely, misspelled anglo-saxon swear words are most definitely included.

Wearing baseball caps after 30 should also be illegal, although I hate this at any age.

I'd tend to say that if you raise a son who later tries to instigate a failed coup in Equatorial Guinea whilst using the codename 'Snatcher' that you're a failure as a mother. But that was her take on things you shouldn't be doing over the age of 30.

Ah no, the older I get the more I dance. Not quite 30 yet, I should point out. Though it is looming, distantly yet ominously, on the horizon.

Thats actually my personal favourite, I don't use it often though.

No one over 30 should listen to hip-hop or rap.

    No one should really.

No Im not - but I do loads of stuff better than I did in my twenties.

Screw that. The day that I stop headbanging, hard drinking, marathon gaming and general screwing around is the day I'm put in the box.

No one over 30 should listen to hip-hop or rap.

No one should ever listen to hip hop or rap when all the cool people are into Judas Priest.

Hip hop & Rap are going through their 80s Hair Metal equivalent phase anyway. It's all about girls, money and drugs. What happened to writing about your roots?

Ha ha CDfm, you got owned!

Girl Int. there's some good rap, it's not all about guns and drugs and as ****e as the stuff you would hear on the radio.

It's a travesty to just corner off rap when you get to 30. In saying that though I think they stopped making good rap 10/15 years ago so you'd probably be sick of the decent stuff by the age of 30!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 20,649 ✭✭✭✭CDfm

I'm sure there is some good rap, its just not what I would automatically put on for myself. And you're right, the content of a lot of the current stuff puts me off, especially the mysogeny.

    So, Ice-T and Busta Ryhmes?

Have stopped believing that rap and WWE are for real and that hip hop is alternative.

The mysogeny is so "bad boy" it makes you wince. To do stuff that well takes practice.

A few Busta Rhymes but mostly Jurrassic 5, Ultramagnetic MC's and there's some other miscellaneous stuff.

Mysogeny a bit harsh? Maybe a little but unfortunately there's a market for the stuff.

    Another one...

Smoking - 30 sounds like a good age to stop.

Jurassic 5, DJ Format & Abdominal, MF DOOM, Aesop Rock.

Actually some of the best music out there and my tastes are pretty eclectic. Writing hip hop off as a genre is just ignorant tbh.

No, calling someone ignorant for a lighthearted post is closer to ignorant :P.
