Other half has unexpectedly returned home for the next 10 days. Am therefore free to spend NY Eve wherever I want, and reckon I should take full advantage of possibility.
Anybody have any advice on a good place in Europe, must be somewhere with direct flights from Dublin that won't break the bank, good bars etc etc...
Have been checking out ryanair website and looks like returns to Karlsruhe can be had for E200. Anybody beeen there or know if it's worth visiting for 2-3 nights? Any ideas on other destinations, has anybody come across any better deals than 200? Not that interested in UK.

leaving it a bit late in the day aren't ya.

anyways berlin has the biggest new years eve party in europe if not the world, 1 million people down the unter den linden and up to the brandenburg gate, bands play from 4pm until well past midnight with a huge firework display at 12am. i am heading there myself but we booked months ago, looking yesterday on otel.com there is barely anything left in town for that night
