    Silly question..are midges around all year round? We have a lot of midges flying around here atm.

    I think this is the first Winter that I've noticed them flying around, too.
    Lots of them in the garden on the milder days over the last 4 or 5 weeks.
    Weird!:confused:

    i've seen them as well in my back garden ive also seen a few bees as well in the last week.

    Not sure now if they are midges or just little annoying flies, but either way they usually only come around in summer, living in one of our hedges in the driveway so usually get a mouthful of them in summer but the other day there was loads of them, never remember seeing them at this time of year before.
