    Folks,

Does anyone out there have experience ordering from B&H?

I'm looking at the Canon 70-200mm f/4 on there, but i'm not sure about any tax implications coming into the country. If I have to pay tax i'd be better off buying from Jessops in the UK. Does anyone know what the story is?

Head up north for yourself and pick one up in Calumet tbh. Sales and all.

There'll be taxes on import when shipping to Ireland.

Calumet are actually dearer than Jessops, and their sale doesn't start until the 5th Jan I was told on the phone...

I'll just go with Jessops if there's tax implications from the US

    thanks Fajitas

    Really?

Is there much of a difference between B&H and Calumet/Jessops out of curiosity?

I've not been on the B&H site for a while, last time I was, it was steeper than normal.

If you buy in the US without paying the taxes and down the road you have a problem with the lense, Canon Ireland won't repair it unless you have said tax reciept.

There isn't a huge difference, around 30 quid or so. But Jessops are out of stock at the moment, so I was considering B&H
