So I've got an iTrip for my ipod nano and it seemed to work perfectly the first time i used it. Then i think i drove into an area where it picked up a signal from a station and i started to hear static. But now i can't seem to get it to work properly on any other frequency. Does anybody know which is the best?

I'm in Kildare, but do alot of driving in Dublin also so would be great if they worked for these areas! :D

    Thanks in advance.

The default (105.7) is what was recommended by the suppliers of the iTrips to be the best station in both ireland and the UK...

Outside of ie/uk, the recommended is 104.9.

    Neither of those work :(

Just went for a little drive there to try them out but no luck. Is there any way to change it from FM to LW? or am i just guessing?

There's a "DX" at the top of the screen on the iTrip, is that FM?

Wait a min.. i think i get you..

Make sure the ipod is off.
    Then plug in the itrip
    then begin playing music
then tune the station now... set the wheel to 105.7
and then click in the button on the itrip to click the station
And it should work now (if you do it in the right order - the itrips can be tempermental like that) ... if it doesn't - it's bring it back time... :)

Thanks so much for your help! I've tested it this morning on the way up to the airport and have found that somewhere near the 80's suits it (87-89) quite well. Do you find that sometimes there is a bit of static coming through if a radio station is coming into range a little bit? Like, is that normal?

if there's a _real_ station on or near the frequency change it to one where there's not

i have pre sets depending on what part of the city/county i'm in..
