Ipod Touch problem

Hey. I got an 8GB iTouch for Christmas off my girlfriend. After charging it,i tried turning it on to find the screen wouldn't work.Lines went up and the down the screen,some problem with the pixels i think. Anyway she bought it over in the states so I'm just wondering is there a way i can send it back to apple directly…

Hey.

I checked there website, and i could not find any information about it.

Any advice on the matter would be very much appreciated.
