Moving on to the Marlboro Lights!

At this time of the year, people tend to forget the smoker. Unless you've got a special friend coming from the UK/continent, no one remembers the smoker when considering christmas presents!

As a smoker myself, I would bite your arm off if offered cigarettes as a christmas present......which leads me to my question....why don't non-smokers consider giving the smoker of the family a few packs of their favourite brand of smokes on the day? I take your guilt of "maybe they might get cancer from the specific packs I give them" into consideration but us smokers don't blame the local shopkeep when suspended under a life-support machine when the inevitable happens...it's just our choice to puff what's available!

So, as I move on to my least favourite smoke, Marlboro lights....not by choice, I plead with you do-good non-smokers, get your friend a pack of their favourite brand, please!!! ONE PACK would be much better than that cappuccino/felatio machine you were thinking of buying that poor smoker in the family and thought it may change their life!

    Smokes = Friend for life

Nah - I totally get non smokers not buying smokers cigarettes.

It's a dangerous addiction and your loved ones don't want to contribute to you 'hurting' yourself. They almost certainly want you to give up so why would they encourage it?

Incidentally, what's wrong with a fellatio machine anyway?;)

Edit: Try smoking Rothmans Lights when nothing else is available. You have REAL problems then, my friend!

I gave my little sister a carton of cigs for crimbo. She doesn't smoke yet but I'm sure she'll find a use for them.

I've heard of carcinogenic fellatio machines btw! :pac:

I'm just saying, with all the dissappointment involved in buying presents for others, you're never going to lose by buying a pack of a smokers favourite brand on the day....even one pack! Only (outrageously) €8....rather than €149.98 for that fellatio machine that changed my life for the worse!

Nothing says 'I love you' more than the gift of carcinogenics.

I've a network of Irish buddies who often bring me back a couple of cartons when returning from their dachas in Italy, Spain and Turkey.

I also buy them up North when the above supply-chain fails.

Having said all that, I do want to give them up in 2009.

But remember porkies, obesity is the new smoking - they're coming to get ya!

    Smokes =
    Addiction for life
Smelly colthes and breath for life
    Health problems down the road
And we pay for the privledge !

I'd love to quit. Yet, i love my cigarettes.

No way i'd expect people to buy me cigarettes.

Anyone who is paying over eight euro a pack is an idiot.

Smokes are widely available for 35/40 quid for a 200 Carton. Ask any Eastern Europeanner you know, guaranteed they, or someone they know, will be very willing to sell you smokes at this price.

Half price for us, double the price for them, no money to the government.

    Win/win/win tbh.

The foreign Marlboro Lights with white filters taste like ass. More so than normal Marlboro Lights. JPB ftw.
