I got a house of fraser gift voucher for christmas and was wondering if I'd be able to spend it up North as I was thinking of heading thataway for the sales. Would the exchange rate be up to date (approaching parity)?

You need to check the back of the card for terms and conditions. Most cards usually say 'ROI only'.

Yeah, I iamgine Corruptedmorals is right. One company sold the voucher and it may be a separate company up north, merely using the same band.
