Haha. Flu vaccine + fled to Spain for Christmas. See ya suckers.

*I feel justified in my smugness having endured the mother of all chest colds a few weeks back.

    Nah, they didn't invent it.
But Spain didn't have strict censorship in WW1 so while many countries had it, they were the only ones actually reporting it

There does be great programs on TG4 on this sort of thing

I realized you were only joking Tiny :)

Since Wednesday 17 myself. Just finishing a course of antibiotics today and am feeling better but still not 100%. Have gone for just a couple of gentle cycles in the last few days. Was overtaken coming back from Enniskerry by a face I think familiar from MAD, on a Cannondale Bad Boy. This will not stand!

Came down with a chest infection myself, was forced onto antibiotics.

Stuck inside with an endless supply of tea, heat and some video games. I would nearly prefer to be out on the bike. I also blame not cycling over the 2 weeks before christmas for my weakened immune system. Non stop cycling, in all conditions, is the only way to steer clear of these bugs :)

Still trying to get the hang of the rollers anyway.

Have something nasty myself. Have had it for about 3 weeks, chest infection I think but I'm silly enough not to bother going to the doctor, will probably go on Saturday if it keeps up. Tried going for a cycle and was in bits, haven't gotten on the bike since, have to sort this out to burn off my Christmas excess!!

Have had it myself since the 26th - just beginning to feel human again :( Hopefully will be back on the bike again this weekend!

Had it the 2 1/2 weeksjust before and up to Christmas. Sucked big time, missed a load of stuff due to it.

The dad has it 3 weeks now and like others has allowed a chest infection to get a foothold so antibiotics beckoning methinks... best to catch them early and knock 'em on the head.

I think I just caught it in time. Spent the last week going from the bed to the couch with plenty of hot drinks and paracetamol. I'm looking at the turbo trainer thinking will I try and sweat it out.

I'd be somewhat careful with that, tried that myself and the doc reckoned flushing the virus around the body and deep into tissue was not the best plan. He reckoned it could turn a 1 weeker into a 4 weeker.
