    http://www.independent.ie/national-news/four-in-every-five-asylum-seekers-caught-out-by-language-police-1582891.html

There should almost be a sticky thread for these howlers tbh.
Some 140 applicants have now undergone the tests in order to verify their ethnic origin. Only one out of every five applicants tested are from where they claim.

The headline appears to state one in five of ALL asylum seekers is telling the truth re their origins. The article actually says it is of a group of 140 who raised suspicion (presumably, I would imagine, someone of West African physical appearance claiming to be a Somali with no documents, or a person of clearly Roma appearance pretending to be Middle Eastern).

It would be quite a laugh, seeing how regular this type of bile is becoming, to put them all in one thread and submit it to the Irish Times after two months :p Honest to god though, how the hell does this rag keep getting away with it?

I have noticed this newspaper deteriorating over the past few years, and I hope their bosses are reading this. I also wonder what sort of people they are hiring to write these articles, and also the motives of the editor(s) who then approve the articles.
