Freeview is through an aerial, but difficult to get unless you live near the north.

Please stop typing in capitals. It's bad netiquette.

Some parts of Wexford can get Freeview from Welsh transmitters.

I'd imagine you'd need a nice big roof aerial and an amplifier for the signal.

Since you're so far south could you possibly try Wales for DTT? Just a thought. Think Wales is switching over quite soon so power of signals will be increased, though unsure if it will be shielded westwards.

You need a group B aerial pointed to presely with an amplifier.

It may or may not work depending on where you are in Wexford. Most high ground parts of the county and coastal areas can get presely dtt with the proper aerial and amp.

You'd be better off having got a tv with mpeg4 though so at least you can get the Irish DTT and then get a freesat system

Athlone will be covered by DTT from Cairn Hill the Spring/Summer and if you have MPEG4 equipment you will be able to get it.

Something about Patience and Grasshoppers springs to mind:o

How about Skerries? I read somewhere about someone getting Freeview in Skerries. Can't find the article now. i've got a Sony 32v4500 coming tomorrow hopefully with Freeview and mpeg4 tuners. Any online shops that do aerials at reasonable prices?

    Cheers

My TV signal is via Chorus NTL, so if having Freeview built in a waste of time?

Are you sure we are talking about the same thing - Freeview, the UK's DTT service that you receive through an aerial, not a dish? If so, what type of aerial are you using? Is it pointing towards Wales?

    Cheers
