Not much more than now I think.
You will still get the occasional sale bargain but on average, I think most shops are just trying at the moment to survive the oncoming new year.
There's only so much that can be cut.

The bigger rip-off merchants will be hit the hardest (but I could be wrong).

Shops in general? Think some will actually be open on 26th.

Novelty Christmas items, crap stuff that didint sell, gift sets in chemists. Clothes sales all over the place.

Food items will generally only have the few special offers to get you in the door.

Gyms and slimming clubs will have sales to hit the "Christ did i really put on that much weight this year" brigade.

You planning on a shopping spree?

    Cheaper than what?

Watch out for Harvey Normans and Power City.

Sadly not. It will be the smaller family run places will be the hardest hit and will be the first to go.

...and you'll probably find shops open on the 26th there as well, maybe even 25th too.

Well come the new year, I'm making it a cause personally to shop at local family run businesses.
The big boys can look after themselves and we all know they will.

Tis a pity a lot of people shopped up north and have been ignoring them for the past few months. It's too late for a lot of them. So much of their yearly business is done in the pre Christmas build up.

In Peats we're already preparing for our sale. Plenty of shops will be open on the 27th.

I thought this was going to be a thread informing women that the shops will be open on the 27th and that they don't need to shop on Christmas Eve like their was a nuclear holocaust about to take place.

The shops will most likely be open though considering its a Saturday.

Almost all shops would be open on the 27th..mine is open it's normal Saturday hours, 8.30-7. Most shops already have huge sales. I saw today Nine West is having its' closing down sale.

Will the sale have started on the 27th, I am leaving Ireland on the 27th to visit relations and wouldn't mind getting the present cheaper.

well the micheal o leary clones of the world will be open christmas day !

from what i remember last year most places will be open the 27th. hell burger king and the like are open the 26th so you can bet your arse the big shopping centres will be fully back up and running by the 27th.

as to "will you get anything cheaper", i doubt it.

ive seen places with 50% off now so i dont think they can do better than they are already without giving the stuff away.

TBH though wont be shopping myself, will be in deep recovery after the first session after the crimbo embargo on the 26th :)

Ì'm the same and I've already started. There is a local garage that sells petrol about 4c dearer than anywhere else because he is only a local lad starting off but i give him all mu custom.

All them fatcats can die as far as I'm concerned!

Yeah, I want to get speakers there, expensive enough though, wil there be price reductions on the 27th then? If yeah, think I might hold out.

Thanks Kintaro but there isn't anything in particular, just asking in general.

    Thanks
