    Hi all

I'm helping my dad to learn a bit of French in the new year.

Can anyone recommend the best dvd or book system to use?

It is for beginner level adn €100 euro limit in total.

    Merci :)

    Barney

I have just finished the Michael Thomas CDs and found them really good. If only I had them years ago for the leaving!

Monsieur Thomas is very good. Much better, I've found, than Rosetta Stone. Nothing replaces courses and immersion in verbal communication.

I'm just back from a 3 week stint re-learning French in Vichy. Pricy, but if you can afford it and find it's important for whatever reason, it's the way to go.
