I'm sure most of you know, there's a Christmas Mass being broadcast live on RTE TV - Christmas Day, also sharing in the prayer's and broadcast live are the troops out in Chad and Kosovo.

There's a huge effort gone into this both here at home and in the units abroad, so its worth taking the time to view it.

Anyone who's been oversea's and away from family and friends will appricate how special this will be to the lads out there.

Thankfully I only spent one Christmas away from the kids, 88th Bn UNIFIL.

Good stuff. Our thoughts are with all the Irish troops overseas, may they have a safe and peaceful Christmas.

Did anyone catch it this morning?.

Absolutely fantastic stuff, brilliantly done and in parts very moving.

It was very good, as was to be expected. Chaplains do a great job. Also good to see our CQMS Claude Glynn doing one of the prayers of the faithful from Kosovo.

Good show again and good to see all involved those at home, away, retired, parents, reserve the top and the bottom. Great image and very moving.

    Summed up Christmas.
