protein powder that comes in a bag- any good?

was going to buy ON's Whey protein and so was thinking of buying the 4.7kg package that comes in a bag rather than a box. Can these bags be closed once opened to keep them airtight and to keep insects and bugs from crawling onto your protein?

Yeah there's a marked line where you cut and below that is the resealable little clip line thing on either side...ehh like a ziploc bag!
