You sure kayanos are best runners for you? They are expensive but that doesn't necessarily mean they are the best.

If that was the women's version in size 7 I'd be a very happy kirby.

Went up today to have a look, being in the general area and all that. They have most of the decent Asics ones in men's sizes (1130, 2130, Kayano, Gel-Evolution, Gel-Foundation). Quite a decent size range in some styles. Unfortunately, they had very few in women's sizes, one sad, lonely pair of size 7 1130s.

All the mens shoes were €40, including Kayanos.

I would agree with FX Meister. Just because lots of people run in them and they are expensive, does not mean they are absolutely right for you.

Do you know what type of foot strike you have? Do you know how your muscle structure responds to soft/firm footwear?

A Kayano is a motion control shoe, which is really geared towards someone with huge pronation issues in their feet. While it won't cause a neutral runner any problems, it is in essence a city centre resident driving a Land Rover 2 miles to work when they could actually just use a bike or walk! Does that make sense?

I'm wearing the 2130s by Asics. A great shoe for the medium milage person.
Really the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn and that includes Kayanos.
