Couldn't believe it when my friend Mullet text me today to let me know Billy Morgan turned down the opportunity to manage Cork City.

I wonder if it was a feasible idea seeing as Billy probably has no soccer experience.

    Thoughts?

    its a wind up.

Cork city released a statement that the had 15 applications and would only be hiring someone that had the appropriate EUFA coaching badges.

No could and would not work! See Woodward at Southampton.
The latest is Jimmy Barry Murphy for the job. Can bring his professional foot baller son home from the UK to help out

Well it would of been interesting but its different managing a gaa team to a soccer team. There is less time to prepare teams in soccer for games as compared for gaa games as you might have a month to prepare for a gaa match.

Morgan would be at a total disadvantage as i doubt he would have a great knowledge of the league of Ireland. They might be better going after dave barry i would think!!

There is nothing to this. It was a wind-up. We need a manager with UEFA coaching badges. Billy is a Nemo and Cork legend, but he's not an association football manager.
