    Quiet Friday evening in...

Anyway, what's your favourite Law and Order?

    1. Law and Order
    2. Law and Order: SVU
    3. Law and Order: Criminal Intent
    4. Law and Order: Trial by Jury
    5. Law and Order: Special Elevator Unit

Personally, my favourite is Criminal Intent. I'm even getting to like Logan in his new role.

I've only heard of the first three and my favourite of those is 'Criminal Intent', mainly because Vincent D'Onofrio is the main character. Good actor.

"Criminal Intent" purely for the nut-job Goren. D'Onfrio plays him brilliantly, and he's nicely balanced out by Eames. I'm currently on S6 and I do like the other partnership of Logan/Wheeler, but they still can't touch Bobby.

SVU is pretty decent but a bit too earnestly bleak. The Mothership is good but I don't find the crimes as enthralling - CI has far more detailed plots (if somewhat implausible ones) that keep me more interested.

Well "Special Elevator Unit" is a Simpsons joke :) and "Trial By Jury" only had a half season (and wasn't all that good, focusing solely really on the court room).

    I watch them all!

Regular L&O, a classic! The half-law-half-order format usually means that the criminal is identified fairly quickly, but there's a lot of wiggle room for several twists and turns during the latter half hour.

Much more time is spent on the victims and finding the "perps" in SVU, although over the past few years, the "order" part has crept in a bit more. It doesn't take a genius to follow the storylines.

With CI, you have to pay attention from the very beginning. You miss the first few scenes, and it's all over -- you're lost.

Oh Dick Wolfe, how you've enriched my life.

I would watch any of them but you can't beat Criminal Intent! Lost a bit of "edge" over the years but still a good watch
