As the subject says, let's hear it, the nerdier and more fanatical about cars, the better!

I'm getting 6 pot Wilwood capilers, fitting brackets, braided hoses and 316mm drilled and slotted discs for my S Works, they should have been here last month and don't really qualify as a christmas present, but seeing as they're arriving around now, I've promoted them :)

I'm also getting a relay which MINI didn't sell in Europe, only in the States which closes your windows and sunroof when you press the lock button.

nope not this year, im getting an interim oil change and i might get a few other bits of maintenance done but im not going to make any additions to the m3 now as i hope to change it for something (hopefully as good as this has been) else mid next year :)

i do have a very tasty watch coming tho :D

are 6 pots not overkill on the mini ned? is it putting out 200bhp or more than that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,009 ✭✭✭OldmanMondeo

Christ I hope not. Don't want something that will be worth f**k all to me when I get rid of the car or will get nicked by some little scroth.

I give up, I can't even begin to compete with that. :D

Currently around 220 bhp, but there's a JCW manifold on order and a custom remap that should see her up around 240. Even with the standard 170 Bhp the 1 piston brakes on her weren't up to much!

Jeez you're a gas man!! And you only got them CSLs on it, and the detailing. I must be in the wrong job! Oh wait, got hitched this year. Wait till that woman of yours gets you to put a ring on her finger, then it's a whole new ball game!:D

I have a choice if I want to, I can leave the rear bench and seat backs in, or remove them and fit a rear seat delete board, it takes all of 10 minutes, and one bolt.

Had never heard of those watches before, just Googled it, and wow! Nice choice Cyrus! I've got a Tag Heuer Carrera myself, but I really like the lines of the IWC.

Got one of these....which I'm posting from:
    http://www.pixmania.ie/ie/uk/1904873/art/advent/4211c.html

I'm searching eBay for something for the car, but as per my thread, some paint may be in order instead of a treat.

Treated myself to a 1970 series 2 MkII Ford Cortina 1600E. There that should be nerdy enough. Why did I do that I hear you ask, because €42 Motor Tax and €245 fully comprehensive insurance, plus it's a very nice car......
    edit: And no NCT.

what horsies would the chip give by the way?

Enjoy it - not many people wear IWC so enjoy it, wonderful piece of engineering with real true mechanical craftmanship behind them.

As for the Brabus - here are the figures. Waiting for prices at the moment.
    Standard = 165kW, 224PS, 510Nm
    Brabus
    200 kW / +35kW
    272 PS / 48 PS
    590 Nm / + 80 Nm

I'll do a lot of things on my own car, but brakes are a no no. I need them to stop :) A mate of mine's a mechanic and he's going to fit them over the next weekend or two. She's going for her virgin NCT after that, so it'll be nice to have the new anchors on for that.

Got a minichamps model of my capri (right colour and year, yay!).

I treated my Focus to a wheel bearing on Stephens day, and have new discs and pads for the Capri to be fitted in the coming weeks (just standard Quinton Hazell fare, nothing too exciting)

I also got a watch for christmas, albeit a Casio. Ah well.

Keeping in sensible for the moment, might treat myself to a house all going well later in the year.
