St. Etienne or Udinese for Villa please. Tnks.

Last thing we want is to have to go to Russia needing a result.

Braga is an amazing trip alright, really friendly city and if the weathers anyway decent the main square is great to sit out for a few beers. If you're home around then xavi it would be worth going.

Shaktar was a decent draw but CSKA/Villa after :( Harry's gonna need to get some non cup-tied players in at the break if we're to stand any chance.

Booked my winter leave period from work to cover the two legs plus Hull away, then they give us Donetsk and move Hull to a Monday night (which appears to be impossible to escape from by public transport after 9pm)

    :(

    Ouch.

I just did up a quick itinary and it'll cost me less than €200 for the whole trip (plus match ticket and spending money). Great price.

Wonder how much it would cost to charter a plane now the airlines are all in the sh1t?

    From mcfc.co.uk -
Proposed UEFA Cup dates could change

    19/12/2008 21:39

Following on from today's UEFA Cup draw, the Club wish to make fans aware of a possible change to the proposed fixture dates for the UEFA Cup tie against FC Copenhagen.

Difficulties have arisen in confirming the fixture for two significant reasons. Firstly, the pitch at FC Copenhagen's Parken Stadium is being re-laid on Monday 16th February due to a previously booked event at the ground which cannot be moved. This means that only the second of the two away leg dates (Thursday 19th February) would be suitable for competitive football.

In addition to this, City's fixture at Anfield on Saturday 21st February, only two days after the proposed away UEFA leg, cannot move to the Sunday because Liverpool will travel to Spain for their UEFA Champions League fixture with Real Madrid, due to take place on Tuesday 24th February. There are no other suitable dates in terms of rescheduling this particular fixture.

Discussions are ongoing between FC Copenhagen and Manchester City FC, with consideration being given to switching the order of the away and home legs.

The Club strongly advises fans not to make any travel arrangements until dates and venues are confirmed. An announcement, finalising details for these UEFA Cup fixtures is expected to be made on Monday.

FFS why did it take NINE HOURS to tell people this? I've heard of hundreds of fans who have already booked flights. If that game is not on in Copenhagen on either the Wednesday or the Thursday then the shit is gonna hit.

Just like Pats against Hertha all over again:pac:

    not too bothered.
you have to beat good teams to win.

bring it on, and then villa or moscow, then milan and ajazx and whoever else :)

and a good thrashing of man city inthe final would b enjoyable! :)

    The Southside? :D

    Some great ties there.

    Fiorentina Ajax
    Bordeaux Galatasaray
    Bremen Milan
    Kiev Valencia
    Man City Deportivo

Definitely more interesting than the CL

Good news on this working out in the end Xavi, but that sort of thing has happened us regularly with the knock-out stages this past three seasons.

We'd a game shifted from Thursday back to Wednesday then beck to Thursday again, all for TV...:(

The advice we get from the club? Don't book anything until final arrangements are in place...

Looks like I can get to Donetsk for £400 for an overnight out of Stansted, so need to fly in/out of there and arrange a bed for the night before.
