Right, basically I really like SW, and want to read some comics / books / graphic novels or what have you.

I read a comic about Darth Vader figting Darth Maul and thought it was excellent, and then read some comic that had something to do with a sith fleet I think, I thought it was crap and not very star warsie so I gave up half way through. These were both years ago.

Can any of you learn'd fellows recommend a comic / graphic novel for me. Wheres a good place to start. Ideally something with Anakin / Vader in it.

Also where would I get said comic?

Dunno about comics and graphics novels, but as far as novels go, just follow the time line in one of the books that are considered canon...

Graphic novels, the knights of the old republic series. Both cover the 2 main sith wars. Crimson empire graphic novel is worth checking, also the currently running Star Wars legacy series is good, set 150 years after ROTJ, you can get graphic novels on it.

Dark Empire 1 and 2, covering the Clone palpatine, Artwork is annoying but the stories good. Rogue Squadron graphic novels are quite enjoyable, you'll learn alot that helps when reading the x-wing books, such as Baron soontir Fel, wedge, janson etc.

Got mixed up it was actually Tales of the Jedi graphic novels, the first tales of the jedi graphic novel was "Knights of the old Republic" set 4000 years before a new hope, following Uilc Quel Droma and Nomi Sunrider, followed by the 2nd book "the Freedon Nadd uprising"(very hard to get), "Dark lords of the sith"(Exar kuns rise and Ulic's fall) and The sith war(the conclusion of the all out war). 2nd series came out set 8000 years before a new hope, following Naga Sadow, with "The golden Age of the sith" and "The fall of the sith Empire". I got these ages ago, i'd say you might have to go to the states to get them now.

Getting off topic here but, eh, no...Revan conquered and reconquered the Galaxy for fun...for fun!! And he had a sense of humour, unlike many of his fellow Sith...

Trying to get into Star Wars comics can be pretty intimidating, I had the same problem and a mate of mine gave me some direction and what he has given me has been pretty good so far.

    Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Obviously features the Clone Wars and has some good stories especially the Volumes featuring Quinlon Vos.

Star Wars Rebellion: Have only read one Volume of this but it seems pretty good.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic: Might seem a little similar to some of the later plots but a good read.

Star Wars: Tag and Bink. There are two series of this with the first one being the better in my opinion but you can get a trade the collects both and is probably the best value.

Best place to get them is probably online, but if you are around Dublin drop into Forbidden Planet or Sub City to see what they have available.

Forgot about the clone wars, good books, goes more depth into the clonewars battle and other characters, Durge, Asaaji Vetress, Quinlan Voss.

I'd like to mention again, Tales of the Jedi is essential.

Interested in this myself. Would like to get something about Darth Bane and the Sith way before their return in Episode I.

    Any suggestions?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Path-Destruction-Novel-Republic-Darth/dp/0345477375/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1235753361&sr=8-2

Darth Bane Path of descrution and rule of two is all about how the sith became one master one apprentice.

    Very good books
