I was there this time last year for weekend. Weather was lovely, hit 23 deg on last day. One of the best cities I have been in. Plenty to see and do. Don't know about clubs but plenty of good bars.

Barcelona is a lovely city . I have been many times. Pickpockets and crime are no worse than in Dublin !!

Lock all valuables in your hotel room safe . Do not carry things that you dont need. That applies for most cities. Be aware always of your surroundings, avoid dark narrow streets. Common sense really.

A hop on hop off bus operates from the top of the Ramblas near the fountain in Plaza Catalunya.

Pasage De Gracia is the posh area with Gaudis work and designer shops.

Half way down the Ramblas on the right hand side if coming from Plaza Catalunya there is a traditional market with some of the best ice cream you can get !!

At the bottom of the Ramblas there is the Marina area which is always nice for a stroll. Also the Aquarium is worth a visit .

Also in the same area the Ice Bar !!

If you want to get cheap snacks and drinks to have in your hotel there is a ''Carrefour express'' supermarket half way down the Ramblas also. Its a Tescos type store.
