Possible Recreations of Classics

Hi guys wounder if any of you could help me. I'm doing a project on cars that have been reproduced eg another Mini cooper, Fiat 500 can anybody think of possible reproductions of cars such as this in the future ?Hopefully your knowledge would be of some use. Thanks

there's quite a few of them now. VW Beetle was the first. They remade the MGB with a V8 engine sometime in the nineties, but it wasn't that successful.

The Jaguar reprised the S-type but its a fair bit blander than the original.

Lots of American car icons now being remade with more than a design nod to the 60s originals: Chevrolet Camaro, Ford Mustang, to name but a couple.

Other car icons that should be remade, although not sure if they ever will:

Alfasud
Citroen DS
Renault 4
Citroen 2cv
Lancia Fulvia
Aston Martin DB5

They 'remake' the Porsche 911 all the time. its still more or less the same car as the original.

They've updated the Morgan +8 too, with the Morgan Aero 8. There was one at the Top Gear show (*spit*).

Never liked the +8, but the new one is even more rotten looking.

Oh, and Ford also remade the GT40 as a limited edition a couple of years ago. Jeremy Clarksson had one once, if I'm not mistaken.

weird reading through one of my french magazines as you do and was amazed at the amount of new 'old' cars out there considering that the 'average' lifespan of a year is less then 7 years..

Crumbs - tbh, I've zero interest in Mk1's or 2's, would prefer an old Fiat, but bloomin' 'ell, I'd buy that concept. A nice Euro look on the american theme. Kind of what the new Camaro is like, style-wise.

This car is an electric isetta. Its being manufactured in Vietnam for a UK Isetta dealer. Its not a donor model refurbished but a completely new car built from scratch.

The Peugeot 504 was made in Kenya until 2003!

The Mazda 323 Mk3 was also made in South Africa until 2003!

There is a dodgy hybrid of the Austin Montego / Maestro still being made in China. Can't remember the name of it though.
