I have a forerunner 305 and Edge 705. The same sensors work with both units for me.

yes it does. alternatively you can get the 'pack' with the euro maps and then you can have 2 bikes equipped with the cadence sensors.
Those 305s seem to be really shoddily built - mine got smashed up too after falling off the bike and getting run over by a car
    :)

Then Raam, i shall proceed to call my NY connection and purchase said unit, because next year i'll be looking for scraps of food from the bins the way things are going.

I'd say it was the running over by the car that did it

My pump got run over by two cars. It still works perfect. So there you have it: pumps > garmin 305s.

I swear they steered so they would get it.

No problem in getting down to race weight in that case.

Tiny ,i was looking on Ebay and they seem to be going for around the 450 dollar mark roughly €330 ish, though looking at the Sterling prices(poor little Sterling) it all sort of works out roughly the same, all i know is its cheaper than here.

    £279.17 = €300.97 - cheaper on wiggle

    £269.99 = 291.11 cheaper again on CRC
