Zanussi Washing Machine Spare Parts - Where to find without being rode on price!

I have a Zanussi 1100 Washing machine which is a few years old now, but never had a problem with it so far...

My young lad managed to crack the glass door on the machine (my fault for leaving an open tool box near the machine! Doh!

The machine is working fine and i would like to replace the door myself as it is only 2 bolts.

I rang a number for a service centre in clondalkin but the guy and the other end informed me it was at least €85 second hand, (if he could find one) or €150 new from Zanussi.

Can anyone point me to a service centre or spare supplier that wont ride me on price?

    Thanks in advance!

I ordered some stuff from that site before.
Just when i was starting to think the part was never going to arrive it appeared on my desk as if by magic 6 weeks later! haha!

Good prices but not fast at delivery!

Well, it was just an example. If you Google "washing machine spares" you'll get loads of hits, mostly in the UK.

Have you tried the local recycling/ civic amenity? I know the one local to me has dozens of old machines and fridges which could possibly be raided for spares, bit of a gamble but you could be lucky.

    thanks for the replys...

Google, as always, was my first option, - but like said its mainly uk companies and the delivery price offered by some of the suppliers i checked was mad.

(I dont always run to boards.ie to answer lifes little questions you know :D)

Will try those irish suppliers Byte and thanks for the tip jack of all... will check out my local one

Motto of the story is though.... kid + open tool box = Damage!!! :D

Just as an aside, I vaguely remember the Spare Parts Centre on north Frederick St. carrying spares for white goods, no idea on price or specifics though, and google failed me on finding more :)

That's a good suggestion, I used to pass this place everyday on my way to work.

    Hi,

    To all boards members,

I can supply any part for any electrical appliance.

A small bit of time is all i require.

I can guarantee the parts will be much cheaper than anywhere else.

They will be 2nd hand, but 100% working.

Washing machines, Dryers, Cookers, T.vs, etc

Just email me the code of the product that you require the part for and i will get it.

    Any feedback appreciated.Good or bad.

Im not sure if this post is in the right place so if any "Mod" feels its not in the right place ..........

    Thanks
