Please don't buy from the chain of pet stores mentioned in one of these posts, irresponsible store they have a nasty habit of selling pregnant smallies and are well aware they are preg. as well.

I can only recommond one shop I know of in the south and it's well worth a visit. Reptile haven in Dublin.

Reptile Haven in Fishamble Street, Dublin seconded

They're one of the oldest reptile shops in the country and are a specialist reptile shop, rather than an ordinary petshop that jumped on the reptile bandwagon

I've owned two reptiles, a Veiled Chameleon which I baught from Ben in Reptile haven and she lived for about four and a half years, which is quite good considering they get stressed and die if you blink at them!

And I had a Frilled Dragon which I baught from a North Inner-City Pet shop/reptile shop, and it died after 2 weeks.

Travel to Ben for any reptile stuff, if you're looking for something in particular, look up their number and call before you travel in case he doesn't have any. Seriously helpful guy.

His shop's closed Mon and Tuesday if I remember correctly!

Now that Ben has opened the extension to the shop, he has changed his opening hours and is now open 7 days a week.

That place is a kip, was in it over the xmas, reptile enclosure look good at first glance but when looked at closer there not at all adequate for them, and id say the staff have never heard of humidity. Most set ups were wrong for the animals been held in them.

Id agree mossie the place does look well layed out. Now me saying it was a kip was a bit harsh to be honest. Its just those chain shops annoy me. The rep tanks do look good but when you actually look at them theres no way they'll hold humidity or heat properly, there was a poor burm there that had a whole shed stuck to him. The set ups were totally incorrect for the species that were been housed in them. But there was hardly water in the bowls for the animals, not to mind the vivs been sprayed etc etc....
