Ipod Touch 8GB

Good evening,I havent been posted in this forum yet so be kind:).I recently got the I-Touch and I have a few questions.I have the newest one with the speaker and I've heard its the 2nd generation but when I bought I the guy in carphonewarehouse(where I got it)said it was the third.Can someone clarify this.Also got a Gear4 accessory charging pack with it.I contains a mains charger and adaptors.On a full charge from that I get about 4-5 hours us and about 3-4 when playing games or using wi-fi.Ive searched all this up and people say that if you turn wi-fi off it lasts longer.Ive done that now and I'm going to see what its like but in the mean time can I get some advice on what to do.Oh nd one more question,when will we be able to rent movies in ireland from the i-touch?

Firstly, this is gonna make me seem like a dick but it really irritates me, it's called an iPod Touch, this is an iTouch!

It is indeed a 2nd generation, there is no 3rd gen one as of yet and the 2nd gen was only released recently.

As far as movies, there's a good few thread about this topic, have a look through them but the bottom line is, it'll probably be a good while before we can rent them due to distribution rights

Also, what are you asking about battery life? Thats about it when you mess with it.
Should last way longer if just listening to music, wifi off, screen off and EQ off.

Wifi on, screen on, browsing or games will zap the battery (to be expected)
