Anywhere around DCU I could get a floppy disk?

    I know they're old etc but I need one for tomorrow. Any ideas?

    Spar on campus? They do CDs anyway and I'm pretty sure that they used to do floppies.

    I'd be surprised if you could find them. Floppy discs are archaic, and last I checked were barely supported by CSD.

    Most new computers don't have floppy drives, and a lot of the labs around DCU don't accept them either.

    I've heard that coem lecturers still demand submissions on them but its a little unreasonable in this day and age.

    Afaik, the only computers in DCU that have floppy drives are in the library. We had to use them to input decisions, using some ancient software, for one module. Pain in the hole tbh!

    Last place I saw a floppy on sale. Was in a crazy shop on the mainstreet of Castleblaney.

    Its kinda of neat DCU

    Probably too late now but I think Eason (O'Connell Street) might still do them. If not you could try Peats up the road on Parnell Street.

    Saw someone in Spar today as for one too, yer man behind the counter just gave him a CD without even asking if it was alright :rolleyes:
