Do aerlingus do refunds as I can get the same flights I already booked for 200 euro cheaper elsewhere, I tried ringing them but can't get anyone on the phone. Thanks in advance

Check the Ts & Cs of your booking. Most likely the answer is no.

Generally the best you'll get is your taxes back, but they'll hit you with an "admin charge" that makes it a waste of time and effort to bother.

Aer Lingus will only refund flexible tickets.

All other tickets are non-refundable, and most are non-changeable.

As the other poster said, you may get some of your "taxes" back, but you will probably lose all of the fare paid if you do not use the tickets

The same flights could be cheaper elsewhere as there are several fare classes on a flight and the airlines have formulae to work out how to distribute the different classes in order to maximise revenue

I cancelled a Dublin-Zurich return flight recently. When I called them I was told the flight costs non-refundable (expect in case of death :eek:). But I did get back my tax less an admin fee
