If they don't do this week, they won't before year's end imo.

    Last week: 10-6
    Season: 146-78

a couple of results I picked are in hope rather than what I think. Miami and NYJ should win their games against very weak opposition, but the Jets are not playing well, and should they get into the playoffs, they'll be one and done I reckon. Batlimore have a very tough game, and thats a wildcard spot they are playing for now with Miami and NE on their tails. NYG are not playing well either, and I think Carolina will get the top seed. Same goes for Steelers, who IMO are now the team to beat. They look very very strong and will be hard beaten. It really is up for grabs tho.

Have you seen the Packers recently?:pac:

No matter the opposition they lose by the odd point or two. Very frustrating.

Last game is against the packers, I'd give them a decent chance in that one.

Saints gave the Rams their first W last year. My prediction? Brees gets hurt after two minutes, misses Marino's record, Saints go into rigor mortis and the Lions beat them with average play because they no longer have to outscore a 40 point Saints O, then go on to beat the Packers and finish 2-14 to tie with the Bungles, Rams and Chiefs for last in the league.

I'm off to Paddy Powers to see what odds they give me on all of that happening.

What kind of odds are the bookies giving on the San Diego Chargers to win the Super Bowl ? I think I'll put a tenner on them !!!!!!!

Huge happenings in Jacksonville. Jags up 14 to zip early, this could have a huge affect on the playoffs. If the Colts win tonight they can rest their starters next week but if they lose they all play next week and thats great for whoever ends up no. 4 seeds.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Manning is again dragging the Colts kicking and screaming with him

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

oh david no, Garrard just threw a pick six with 6 minutes to go in the game to put the colts up by 7, manning can walk the league mvp after his performances this season, not least todays game

    amazing

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,658 ✭✭✭✭Peyton Manning

Huge sack on Garrard, -16 yards!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

what a finish last night! i had a financial stake in the game so it was doubly exciting for me!

manning was pretty much perfect last night, 364 yards, 3 Td's 0 Int

i think the Colts only had about 400 yards total offense.... no running game at all last night/this season........they tried to run 3 times on 3rd and 1 and failed last night, not a good sign for the post season but if Manning plays like that they will be a factor....really really impressive

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

No Joseph Addai last night. Hopefully he can gain a few yards for us on the ground in the playoff. Without a running game, you need a Peyton Manning at his best to scrape a win. You can't pass your way through the play-offs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,450 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Peyton was magnificent last night. The defence made up for allowing a couple of handy touchdowns by intercepting and returning for a touchdown, otherwise I don't know if they would have won it. They looked terrible against the run for a long time, Sanders being back in will no doubt help matters, his block for the interception touchdown was savage.
The Colts D looked very poor for long spells of the game. That win was huge as they wrap up the no.5 seeding.

The big question is what to do now, if the Steelers win the weekend then should they go out and try and beat the Titans to ensure they avoid the Steelers until the AFC championship game should things go their way?

Dallas Baltimore tonight. Flacco fumbles on his four yard line. Recovered by the Cowboys.

The Ravens should be miles ahead in this one. Just now they fumble it, and dallas just re-fumble it and give it straight back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,732 ✭✭✭Reganio 2

What's wrong with Mason's shoulder? He just scored a good TD but he can't move that shouulder at all, he can't even run properly but is still awesome :D

EDIT: I know he dislocated it gameweek 11 or 12 but I thought with great medics and that he would be back. Just wondering why he is playing for us if its still that bad.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,341 ✭✭✭✭Chucky the tree

He injuried it earlier, and went into the locker eary in the first half for treatment on it. Bad night for the 'boys and the pats.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,732 ✭✭✭Reganio 2

Ah right cheers, musts have turned on just after that, Great game this. You can just sense something dramatic is going to happen in this last minute. Hopefully Ravens hold on though

:pac: @ the cowboys D. Two 70+ yard rushing TD's given up in 2 plays.

I seriously hate the Cowboys...if you didnt know

2X 60 plus yards runs in the last 4 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,732 ✭✭✭Reganio 2

Wow... 70+ now 80+ unbelieveable. Dallas are letting us walk through.. Its beautiful :D

I absolutely despise the Cowboys and it killed me to be shouting for them to win tonight. As a slight comforter I backed the Ravens to win the game straight so at least something worked out for me. Its not looking good for the Patriots now. If we go 11-5 and don't make it, its kinda sick.

Romos face after the second long run TD is priceless.

Seahawks beat the jets. Chargers beat Tampa Bay. Buffalo just gone 7 points up in Denver.

This sets up next week so fantastically. There is going to be some epic match ups.

well the 1994 team nearly did it and they were piss poor! :D

I reckon the chargers will knock off denver next week and lose in the last seconds of the first playoff game

Great night for us Patriot fans as well. The Jets have to try and beat the Dolphins as they can still win the division if we lose next week.

I never thought in my lifetime that I would be shouting for the Jets but I will be either way as I think I hate Miami more now that Parcells is there.

Anyways its all set up for a grandstand finsih in the AFC East next weekend.

The Vikings are the same as usual, they make a mess of it, get back into the picture and then mess up again. Credit to Atlanta, I haven't checked it yet but I think that guarantees them a wild card spot.

    Backing Jets next week. Yuck.

A Jags win would also go down well.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

this Giants Panthers game has been fantastic, barring something terrible Giants are gonna win it with a OT field goal....... scfratch that, derrick ward has just broken 216 yards of rushing (on 15 carries!!!)to get a first and goal for the giants on the 1 yard line......its over, Jacobs in for the Td!!!

    What a ****ing game!!!!

    Giants number 1 seed

What a finish it would be if both Fins and Ravens lose and Pats win Epic finish haha From looking gloomy going into the 2nd last game to being able to get to the playoffs as AFC East winners or Wildcard :D

Cheering on the jets next week is going to be tough but im in WI right now where they all have bcome Jet Favre fans haha.

I do think the Jets will beat the Dolphins next week, despite the obvious reasons about the playoffs, they will be at home and it will be COLD!!!

the Ravens losing to the Jags in Baltimore isnt something i could see happening though in fairness......Jags played great against the colts Thursday but Baltimore D is great and im not sure the Jags have enough to get through that tbh

All we can hope for as Pats fans is that the Pats go out on the field next week and get the job done, and peope should remember how far we have come this year with all the set backs and injuries and bedding in a new QB... alot of people out there were saying that if the Patriots could avoid having a losing season it would be a success, nobody gave the team a chance when Brady went down, then to lose Maroney, Harrison, Webster, Thomas, Williams, Woods, Smith, and our 2nd round draft pick Tank Williams for the season while having to make do without Light, Bruschi, Morris, Jordan etc. for periods of the season it is an achievement in itself that going into the last game of the season we are still in with a chance of making the playoffs regardless of how big or small a chance it is...........Patriots fans should remember it too

I think it will be horrible to go 11-5 and not make the playoffs though so heres hoping the Jets D gets back on track and Jones and Favre can cut up the Dolphins D between them and of course, the Pats get the W in Buffalo

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

So many things still to be decided.

18 teams either in already or still in contention going into the last game.

Broncos Chargers and Jets Dolphins are the stand out games.

Eagles Cowboys should be good too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭Karlusss

Eagles Cowboys is so much less interesting after this week than it would have been if either of them actually won.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,287 ✭✭✭davyjose

This sucks. The Colts are going to face a steam-train of a Chargers team in the Play-offs. TBH, whichever of these two wins will go on to the superbowl IMO.
Denver have done their fans a horrible injustice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,153 ✭✭✭Rented Mule

Chicago just took Green Bay to OT and won with a field goal.

The NFC North Division Title is up for grabs with Minnesota hosting the Giants in the Baggiedome and Chicago travelling to Houston to take on the Texans.
