Final Cut not recognising camcorder

    When i plug it in with the firewire connection to the mac the mac can 'see' it. What can i do?

    Check the device control preset in Audio/Video settings. Should be Firewire Pal or firewire Pal basic (if you're using a pal camera). Hit ok. close fcp.
    make sure camera is connected and powered up. Open fcp again.

    got it sorted. It was the firewire port that wasnt working
