Hi everybody was just on the HPAT ireland website regarding the above, I am confused regarding entry requirements i.e does one have to have all the matriculation requirements for entry in the one sitting of the Leaving cert .ie. as i am a repeat student for points I already have english, irish maths and french passed but am not taking them again, but I am doing physics, biollogy, chemistry. ag science, economics and geography for oints only does that rule me out even though i satisfy the NUI matriculation requirements? the HPat website is ambigious, please help.

Aye if you want to do medicine you have to get points and matriculation in the same year, that means you'd want to be doing English etc.!

    http://www.hpat-ireland.acer.edu.au/images/documents/hpat_brochure.pdf

    Page 2, right-most column:
480 points from the same sitting of the Leaving Certificate examination (or equivalent*). This means that students must achieve both the required subjects and the points in the same sitting.
