Selling you car

    Folks,

    Just a quick query. When you are selling your car privately, I presume you are meant to hold onto the VLC but obviously sign it in the buyers prescence. By holding onto it and sending it off yourself is this the norm in case the lad who purchases it from you gets points for speeding after he drives away in the car that is still registered to you. And he has not send away the VLC himself yet? I hope this does not sound too confusing

    Pretty much. You both fill it out together, and the seller (ie you) posts it straight away.
