For me it is and always will be The Button Factory/Temple Bar Music Centre......... had some incredible nights in there and seen many amazing bands. Always had a top notch sound, great facilities and the late clubs after gigs were always deadly.

Can we really have a proper discussion on this when so many venues are unmentionable?

But we're not discussing events, only venues, and different venues have different promoters surely?

Not allowed to even mention certain venues so this topic will become redundant pretty quickly.
One I can mention that I love is the Roisin Dubh. Small and personal, just the way I like it. Dolans is good too as my 'local' venue but Limerick crowds can be so lame and lacking atmosphere that it ruins it's impact for many gigs.

Always enjoyed gigs at Roisin Dubh........ must've seen Turn there about 15 times, always great craic :)Limelight in Belfast was another cracking venue back in the day

Yeah Turn for me in Dolans - about the same amount. They were class back in the day, used to have great craic going to their gigs.

Their old bass player Gavin Fox is now in a band with Mark Greaney from JJ72, you should check them out, they're not bad- Concerto 4 Constantine

Heard them but not got to see them live yet. Not sure if they do it for me, but I hear they are very good. Used to like JJ72 back in the day.

Temple Bar Music Centre - it's cosy, has a good atmosphere, you can get a good spot fairly easily and you have a great chance of just running into bands around the venue :)

    🤪

Dunno that its the best music venue in the country but to date its certainly the best kept secret.
The Pavillion - Cork - feckin amazing venue that local people really need to start supporting.

Fibbers worth a mention too :)

First went to the Pavilion for an acoustic gig back in October, was really impressed, nice venue. Hopefully get to more gigs there in the new year!

Village is an awful venue when it's full.

McGruders is not a bad venue as things go, had some really great nights in there.

Twisted Pepper will be really good once they get the sound issues upstairs sorted out.

The Spirit Store is my favourite venue.

Pub downstairs is lots of small cozy rooms, the venue itself has great sound, staff are friendly and they stock the best range of beers I've ever seen in a pub. It's a pleasure just to be in the place.

The Whisky was the best small venue I've ever worked with.

An Cruiscin Lan is unreal once you hit a certain number for a gig.

Used to run stuff in The Pavillion years ago. Haven't been in there since Stevie G took over. Must rectify that soon.
