Couple of questions on Multiroom.

I was trawling through the Sky website but could only find a price for multiroom for a new subscriber. Does anyone know how much per month it costs for existing customers? I had it installed about 3 or 4 years ago but cancelled after the 12 months was up so all the equipment, cabling etc is there.

Any info on offers they may have in relation to getting a sky+ box as part of the multiroom setup? I have a sky+ box in the sitting room and using an old sky box upstairs in the bedroom at the moment so Im just wondering if they would supply a new box or a sky+ box. I suppose thats like ringing the lotto people and saying you would like to win the main prize :D

I don't know what offers they'll offer you as an existing customer, but if all the equipment is in place and you have recent sky viewing cards in all boxes, they will enable multiroom for you. I'd guess they'd offer you some sweetenr (like X months of Multiroom at half price), but probably nothing quite as nice as a free HD box, or second Sky+ box with free install.

Just a wee update that may help someone else in the same situation. I rang Sky today and there were no offers on the multiroom. I asked if I could get a new box and the guy said I could but an engineer would have to install/set it up and it would cost €49 for the box and €70 for the engineer.

I explained to him that as I had multiroom before and all the cables were in place that it was only a case of removing the old box and setting up the new box which I could do myself but he was having none of it. If I wanted a new box I had to get the engineer with it.

Not worth it for €119 so he is sending me a new card and I will continue to use the old box as part of the multiroom set up.

Oh and it is the full €15/month unfortunately with no discounts for the first month or two.
