Got mine about two months ago, really nice gun. its heavy but all the weight is in the back so its easy to manage, you should think about getting a good sling though because the one with it is muck and you will get tired trying to carry it around without one. Fires around 290-300 FPS out of the box using .20g BBs and 265 using .25g BBs, not bad but remember to clean the barrel before you use it as mine was filthy. Get some good silicone oil as you will need to strip it down to clean away all the crap inside, should help it perform a little better. The battery supplied is only 1100 but its OK, I am changing my for a 2000 when I get the time to shop around

Have one small problem with mine, when i am using the full auto for 15 or 20 mins and then switch over to semi the semi will not fire. I think its the wiring loom, haven't had a chance to check it out properly but I think it will be a simple fix. It a very easy gun to strip, push out two pins and break the barrel and there you go.

All in all its a good gun for the money, nice and short so good for CQB and with its long barrel its accurate too. As for mags it will take m4.

The semi automatic problem is a commone one for this rifle.,

I got this gun and it feel apart in seconds..
    Feels very plasticy...
I was lucky to get 5 shots off in full auto, bad feeding problems.
The rubber butt plate seems to rust, which is odd being rubber and all..
But it goes a brownish red colour pretty quick.

Could of been an unlucky batch, but i thought it was pants.

thought i'd throw in my experience with this aeg and I can sum it up in one word...

    Awful!!

My brother bought this last summer but he doenst skirmish and just shoots at targets, hes more of a collector I spose. Anyway I borrowed it to try out, and it has that not firing problem which I think is fairly well documented.

After two days of light use (this being out in a field shooting a target...maybe 20-30 minutes each day, the plastic foregrip detached from the main body. Its only held on by a little small peice of plastic. This was fixed by attaching a u-bolt over the front of the foregrip.

After another 5 hours (tops) of use it stopped working. At first I thought it might have been the battery and we tried plenty of them from different aegs. Eventually we opened it to discover that the gears were chewed to peices.

I would never go near one of them or any other model made by that brand in 100 years.

On the plus side I could use the hi-cap mag in my M4.

If you get one I hope you have better luck than I did.

Bought one of these a few months ago on impulse. Never worked right, Donated to a relative as a wall hanger with my Jing Gong JG Glock 18C which is another story ...

i was woundering if you think the semi-auto problem is due to the contacts sticking/welding together due to the high current that is used in sustained full auto fire,

to help reduce the ampage flowing through the contacts, trigger switch etc. do you think it would be of benefit to fit a Mosfet in the circuit. it believe it would be of benefit to the overall performance and should also have a small increase in motor rpm and hence a greater rof.

Everyone seems to be taking shots at this aeg so i think I'll stand up for it.
I've had mine for a while now and I love it, although we did not have the best first introduction. My first one didnt work at all out of the box, brought it back and there was no hassle at all with changing it and the new one worked fine.
It does stop firing on semi but thats not a huge problem( for me anyway), because you can still fire single shots on full as long as you have a light trigger finger:)
and the rubber buttplate has "rusted" but thats more an aesthetics problem than a functional one.
All in all, i think its a pretty decent piece of kit although from what i've heard its a bit hit'n'miss as to whether you get a decent working one or a bogey one.

nah its not the actual trigger contact, its usually the cut off lever or the trigger block that causes the problems. the contacts are usually fine.,:)
