Mouse pad problem

Having reassmebled my laptop, (which was disassembled in an over eager attempt to replace the keyboard- which transpired to be a lot easier than i has anticipated) the mousepad no longer functions. I have gone to my device manager to see if there is a problem. There is a problem alright, as far as the laptop is now concerned, the mouse pad doesn't exist, much less a driver for it.

I don't know if i've disconnected something on the motherboard or something.

Anyways, I have a Sony Vaio VGN NR 21 Z, if that is any help
