What is the best way to get best digital UPC/NTL picture on HD telly?

So, anyways, I have a 1080p HD TV. I've got NTL on the standard tiny Pace box. Is there any other box that UPC provides that will allow a digital transfer of video/sound to the HD telly? I know my current NTL Pace box is connecting by scart resulting in an analogue signal. Of course there is some loss of quality. Is there anything I can do to improve the picture?!

I am wondering if the upsacling of the TV is causing some graining issues so I have had looked around ebay and found this for upscaling the image to 720i. Anyone know if this is any use?

Most 1080p TVs will have an upscaler built in. Mine is a Samsung and the picture looks great. Have you calibrated the colour settings? Often the TVs are shipped in a "Shop display" setting, changing this can make a huge difference in quality.

I would say the upscaler unit is a waste TBH.
