Interested in the answers to the title of the thread...

P.S. How much would someone stick out as a tourist if they wore U2 tour shirts?

P.P.S. Who is absolutely psyched about them opening their new tour in Dublin March 2009?? (Just me:D?)

Doesn't matter if you're non-irish. Just a bit odd you posted here in the Galway forum.

In answer to the thread title, could U2 be both? Back in the 80s they were one of the biggest bands in the world but their best work was in the 80's and their recent releases have been underwhelming at best.

It depends where you were. If you were at a U2 concert for example, you wouldn't stick out at all :).

I've seen U2 live twice and that's enough for me. It would want to be a very special gig indeed to drag me to Dublin and the U2 of 2009 don't fall into that category.
