    hi there,

    i wanted to know if its possible to hook up more than one mbox to protools le?
    i wanna third channel so i can do acoustic guitar in stereo and vocals simultaneously.

    apologies in advance if this is a stupid question i'm new to the whole computer recording thing.

    could you double track the guitar from a mono input instead?

    I've not checked but my gut says no.

    Double tracking is a much different sound than 'stereo' . Stereo can ONLY be recorded 2 chans + simultaneously.

    Should be able to set up two M-boxes by using the S/PDIF connections on the back of the M-box,(looks like a phono output) should give you two more Inputs to use.

    cool thanks that makes sense. i was thinking i might be able to put my pro in the firewire then put a mini in the usb but figured tools might get confused.

    now that i look at the back it seems i have an aux input (phono) as mine is a pro so all i need is a mic pre.
    unfortunately i sold my m-audio audio buddy for 30 squid when i bought my mbox...

    2 steps forward....

    With the Mbox 2 Pro you should have 6 inputs so you could record two acoustic guitars in stereo and two vocals simultaneously =)
