Internet gone crazy

So in the last week my internet has gone insane! I use firefox and now when i try to access a page it comes up "looking for...." then it goes to address not found! IE doesnt work either.

My DSL connection is fine and ive tried pinging the remote computer which works showing that it is not the connection problem. When i try to ping www.google.com it comes up request timed out and i end up with 100% loss.

I've uninstalled AVG and installed Avast which helped clear out a few viruses and malware but im still getting this problem.I've also turned off my windows firewall

It does allow me to connect for a length of time on some occassions but the problem will usually reappear after bout 15mins!

    Please help!

Ok well its possible that there is a virus / malware infection which hasn't been picked up.
Can you boot up with Safe mode with networking and see how that works?

Try booting up in safe mode with networking and see if your internet connection is working.
If it does id recommend downloading Malware Bytes from here and running a scan.
