Not a clue tbh - unless, and its the only thing i can think of, is that it used to be used by a lecturer who offered an FYP related to mailbox monitoring using computer vision techniques. They had a webcam placed in the CS offices pointed towards the mailboxes to detect when mail arrived. May be a remnant of that system, and is in fact useless.

It was a project relating to the elimination of camera focus problems over long distances. It points to the southbound dart arrival board, see here. It used to be very handy for students back in the day.

    Thanks.

The op is refering to the camera that is on the Pomodoro/Fellow's square corner of the Berkley. It looks out onto Fellow's square.

I love that webcam, it's hilarious and makes that horrible walk to goldsmith so much more enjoyable! The double takes you get when people walk by are hilarious :p

*Wait... was that a... ?* *Fixes hair*
