Ski Gear

Hey, just wondering if someone could help me out.. My brother is looking for some cheap ski gear, anyone know where he might find some? Doesn't want to spend a fortune, as he's going for a week, and seems like a waste of money to be splashing out...

He's in New York for the next few days, so if anyone has any reccomendations for there that would be great, the only places he's seen so far are specialist ski shops were the jackets are about 300 or so...

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Penneys had their usual winter ski range but might all be sold out by now. I got my ski stuff there last year - and everyone was jealous cos they are actually well built. They have all teh little pockets, snow flaps etc. that make a ski jacket good.
