Gary 164 on the putting stats I think is the main reason he is down in the trouble area

Great chance for Rory to go top of standings now!

Rory just 3 off the lead with four to play, and Westwood has a poor finish (74) to sit in 58th place. All change in the Race to Dubai today.

Rory finished 2nd, wins €186,190, so that puts him top of leaderboard I'm guessing. Good finishes by Clarke & Lawrie too.

Hard luck to Gary Murphy. He needed a great week but it wasn't to be for him. Delamontagne had the card saving performance in Melbourne. I'm sure GM will do well at q-school and get back where he belongs next year. Very tough break for Clarke too who played very well in HK but still misses out on Dubai.

Rory is now €128,173 ahead of Westwood.

Only McIlroy, Westwood, Martin Kaymer and Ross Fisher can now win the Race to Dubai.

Shane Lowry out in Japan this week - bad finish with 3 bogeys in the last 5 holes left him with a 73. That leaves him in about 50th spot. Leader is on -6, but next best is -3 so still all to play for.

-3 under round today leaves him well placed for the weekend. -1 overall. Leader on -7.

Another good round from Lowry today(69) to lie 12th on -3. Great performance so far in a very good field.

He must be very happy with how things have gone since he turned pro.

Lowry shot a final round 67 to finish 3rd for his best result as a pro. Edoardo Molinari beat Robert Karlsson in a playoff for the win. Lowry must be delighted - the Dunlop Phoenix is one of Japan's biggest events.

Great to see and hopefully a sign of things to come. Might shut a few doubters up for a while.

Great result. Saw his winnings listed as 11,700,000....Yen. About 90,000 euro. Not a bad weeks work.
