    Hi
Im thinking of ordering some guns on wgc but know about those rip off customs charges. How are they calculated? Are they like 10% of your order or like more than that?

You will be charged VAT @ 21.5% plus around 5% duty. They will more than likely include the cost of shipping on their calculation and you will be charged a "handling fee" by the couriers as well as I believe HK retailers do not use the ordinary postal service any longer.

WGC aslways use UPS, I asked them to use another delivery service before and they said only UPS would deliver to Ireland. I had to pay about €115 to the UPS guy for the extra custom, VAT and handling fees on top of a €500 order including delivery.

I have asked Irish retailers to order in stuff before from HK that they don't normally stock and it worked out cheaper than if I ordered it myself.

Better off buying local. If they don't have it, ask if they'll get it in.
